Tanveer Ghani – Supporting actor of ‘Badla’ fame

Tanveer Ghani is a British Asian actor who appears in British films and TV shows. He played the role of Jawaharlal Nehru in 2017 British-Indian historical drama film, Viceroy’s House directed by Gurinder Chadha, which was screened at international film festivals. The movie also had a dubbed Indian version Partition: 1947, released on the occasion of 70th Indian Independence Day. In 2019 he marked his Bollywood debut through the investigation thriller, Badla, where he played the memorable and pivot role of Nirmal, the father of missing son and Amrita Singh’s lovable husband, a car mechanic.

Tanveer Ghani got into active film career in the early 1980s, and BBC hospital drama, Angels in 1982 is one of his early noted roles. As an actor he rose to prominence in the second half of 1980s when he appeared in the BBC soap opera EastEnders from 1986-1987. He has been a part of several British-Indian productions which starred many British-Indian actors and also BBC sitcoms and series such as Love Hurts.
