Cashew-Rava Burfi

 Ingredients for Cashew-Rava Burfi:

  1. Cashew nuts – 40 gm
  2. Rava powder – 100 gm
  3. Sugar – 450 gm
  4. Milk – ¼ litre
  5. Vanaspati – 200 gm
  6. Ghee – as needed
  7. Cardamom powder – as needed

How to prepare Cashew-Rava Burfi?

  1. Soak cashew nuts in milk for a while and grind it to a fine paste.
  2. Roast rava in vanaspathi.
  3. Heat sugar in a pan. Allow it to boil and drain its impurities.
  4. Add cashew paste, rava and cardamom powder and stir continuously.
  5. Add vanaspathi little by little and keep stirring.
  6. At last add a little ghee when it becomes thick.
  7. Apply a thin coating of ghee in a plate and spread this mixture on it.
  8. Before it cools, cut into desired shapes. Serve hot or chilled as you please.
