Vishal Jethwa – Young Akbar from ‘Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap’ series

Vishal Jethwa is a television actor of Hindi series, best associated with periodic dramas and mythological shows. His debut role in Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap as young Akbar gave him a big break to the industry, and Chakradhari Ajay Krishna, Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanuman, Peshwa Bajirao, Thapki Pyar Ki, Diya Aur Baati Hum, Ghatotkacha, Ek Duje Ke Vaaste, Crime Patrol etc are the shows he did later. Professionally he has been into dancing and has also appeared as a background dancer for a reality show, before he joined an acting course for two years and grabbed an important role as young Akbar in Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap. The actor is still recognized through this role.

Vishal Jethwa was born in Mumbai in 1994. Initially he wanted to become a dancer, and he never expected that he would join the industry as an actor. He marked his television debut in 2013 as young Akbar in Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap and is fully active in the industry since then. This popular role also helped him to bag the role of Bali in the show, Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanuman. He mostly plays supporting roles. Impressed by his performance as Lord Krishna in Chakradhari Ajay Krishna, Aditya Chopra offered him to play villain’s role in Rani Mukerji starrer Mardaani – 2. The movie marks his big screen debut in a negative role. 

Vishal Jethwa – Some interesting and unknown facts

1. Initially he auditioned for the role of Maharana Pratap, which he didn’t get. For the role of Akbar he auditioned three times.

2. While doing the role of Akbar in the show, he was confident about dialogue delivery, though not comfortable with sword fighting, horse riding, combat scenes etc. He has fallen off from horse once during the shooting.

3. His debut role in Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap earned him best Child Male Artist award at Lions Gold Awards in 2015.

4. His role as Lord Krishna in Chakradhari Ajay Krishna was also well appreciated and bagged him Favourite Krishna award at Lions Gold Awards in 2018.

5. He is predominantly a dancer.

6. He lost his father so unexpectedly in 2008 in his teens. His father suffered a massive heart attack. There was a time when even close ones neglected his family.
