How to prepare Fried Doughnut?
- Warm milk over a low flame, add yeast and sugar and allow it to ferment for 1 hour.
- Transfer maida to a bowl and make a small pit at its centre.
- Add ingredients no: 4 to it, followed by the fermented milk mixture to prepare the batter.
- Grease a plate and pour the batter into it.
- Allow the batter to ferment (for 1-2 hours).
- Spread it to a half-inch thickness and allow it to ferment (so that the layer rises slightly).
- Now prepare doughnut shapes (similar to Uzhunnu Vada) and deep-fry in hot oil till golden brown.
- Now dip doughnuts in chocolate sauce.
- To prepare the chocolate sauce, mix ingredients no: 6 in a bowl.
- Using the double boiling method, immerse this bowl in boiling water and stir continuously until the sugar melts completely.
- Instead of dipping doughnuts in chocolate sauce, you can roll the hot doughnuts in powdered sugar mixed with a pinch of cinnamon.
Note: Beat together 1½ tablespoons each of egg white and lemon juice. Add 175 g of powdered sugar and mix until smooth. Pour the glaze over the doughnuts
