Teja Narla (1996-2013) was a child actor of Telugu cinema, who acted in popular roles of Telugu movies – Murari, Kathanayakudu and Ramadhandu. He had a short but successful career in his profession as an actor. A 17-year-old drowned accidentally at Rishikesh, when he was taking a dip at Holy Ganga. His body was recovered 5 days after his missing.

Teja Narla was born into a family with filmy background. His father N Sridhar works as a cinematographer in Telugu cinema. Teja lived with his family at Motinagar near Borabanda, Hyderabad. He faced camera for the first time at the age of 5 for the movie, Murari, released in 2001. The family drama directed by Krishna Vamsi was a great hit. He appeared in two more films as a teenager – Kathanayakudu (2008) and Ramadandu (2012).

He was studying at Amritsar when he joined a group of 15 students for a trip to Rishikesh to attend a yoga conference. On 5th March 2013, he got drowned in Ganges near Rishikesh while taking bath, and his parents were in a hope to see his return. However his body was recovered on 11th March.

1. After his death surfaced the net, his name was confused by another Telugu actor, Teja Sajja, who has also done child actor roles in Telugu cinema almost during the same time period. The media even published photographs of Teja Sajja, which added to the confusion.

2. While working in movies, he loved playing pranks on movie sets.
