Sruthy Suresh – Malayalam film actress of ‘Palthu Janwar’ fame

Sruthy Suresh is a Malayalam film actress who played lead role opposite Basil Joseph in ‘Palthu Janwar’ (2022). The film received favourable reviews from critics and was a box office hit. She got popular through ‘Karikk’ web series. She also appeared in Antakshari and Hello June, both released in 2022, and a few more Malayalam releases. She is married to Sangeeth P. Rajan, who made his directorial debut through ‘Palthu Janwar’, where she played the lead role. They got married a few days after the theatre release of the film.

Sruthy Suresh started her career as a model

Sruthy Suresh hails from Thiruvalla. She studied Mass Communication & Jouranlism from Mar Ivanios College, Thiruvananthapuram. At that time, she shifted to capital city with her parents. She has one elder brother Sooraj. Her father is a businessman, and mother is a housewife, who supports all her family members in film field. Sruthy has been a professional model also.

Her debut film was directed by her father

Her debut film is ‘Kuppi Vala’ (2016) directed by her father. The movie went unnoticed. In fact she started her acting career at the age of 5, by appearing in a telefilm directed by Sidharth Shiva. Years later when she joined films, she had already started her modelling career. She played a Plus-2 girl in June, while she was doing her PG studies. She earned her role in Archana 31 Not Out, after the filmmakers watched her role in the web series, Kalyana Kacheri. Her role of a cop in the thriller movie, Anthakshari also got noticed. She was also seen in Sundari gardens.

Kiran of Karikk series is a friend of her brother, and that’s how she got one of the most memorable roles of her career through Rock Paper Scissors of Karikk series. She later appeared in Plus – Two of same channel. She also appeared in web series, Mattoru HOME, Star etc.

Her friendship with Sangeeth began during ‘June’ days

Sangeeth P. Rajan was working as chief associate of the movie, June, in which Sruthy played a supporting role. They became friends those days, and later they took their relationship one step further. They got married on September 11, 2022 with the blessings of family. When they got married, their film, ‘Palthu Janwar’ was just released in theatres during Onam season, and running successfully.

5. She was a great fan of ‘Karikk’ series and later she got opportunity to act in their series.

6. It was Unnimaya Prasad, Syam Pushkaran’s wife who suggested her name for the lead role of ‘Palthu Janwar’. Syam Pushkaran was one of the producers of the film.
