Spinach Baji

Ingredients for Spinach Baji:

1. Tender green spinach leaves – As needed

2. Gram flour – ½ cup

    Rice flour – ½ cup

    Chilli powder – ½ small spoon

    Salt – For taste

    Asafoetida powder – ½ small spoon

    Soda bi carbonate – A pinch

3. Water – ½ cup

4. Sesame seeds white or black (optional) – A big spoon

5. Oil – For frying

How to prepare Spinach Baji?

1. Wash spinach leaves and fully remove moisture content.

2. Mix ingredients no: 2 in a bowl and add water to prepare thick batter.

3. The batter should be free of lumps and finally add sesame seeds if needed.

4. Heat oil in a pan.

5. Dip each leaf in this batter and deep fry in hot oil.

6. Serve hot with any chutney of your choice.
