Savala Peera (Coconut Peera)

Ingredients for Savala Peera (Coconut Peera):

1. Onion (sliced thin and lengthwise) – 1 cup

2. Grated coconut – 1/2 cup

3. Green chilli (sliced round) – 2 small spoons

4. Ginger (sliced thin and lengthwise) – 1 small spoon

5. Curry leaves – A little

6. Malabar tamarind (soaked in water and cut into small pieces) – A little

7. Salt – As required

8. Coconut oil – 2 small spoons

How to prepare Savala Peera (Coconut Peera)?

1. Mix all the ingredients well and gently squeeze them together. 

2. Place this on low heat and cook until the water evaporates completely. 

3. Instead of Malabar tamarind, you can use normal tamarind or Irumban puli (Bilimbi). 

4. Serve hot.
