
Ingredients for Puzhangaluratti:
1. Payasam rice (Puzhungalari) – 2 cups
2. Water – As needed
3. Grated coconut – 1½ cups
Fennel – 2 small spoons
Shallots – 10
How to prepare Puzhangaluratti?
1. Wash the rice and drain it well.
2. Heat water until just before it starts boiling, remove from heat, and soak the rice in it for about 5 to 6 hours.
3. Grind the ingredients listed under section 3 well, then add the soaked rice and grind again.
4. Add salt as needed and prepare the batter slightly thinner than dosa batter.
5. Grease a steel plate, pour the batter up to half its height, place it in a steamer, and steam until cooked.
6. Once cooled, cut into small pieces and serve with your favorite side dish.
