Prawns Pickle (Chemmeen Achar)
Ingredients for Prawns Pickle (Chemmeen Achar):
1. Gingely oil – 200 gm
2. Prawns cleaned – 1 kg
3. Ginger – 1 big piece, crushed
Garlic – 1 full, crushed
Green chillies – 10, chopped
Curry leaves – 3 stems
4. Chilli powder – 100 gm
Turmeric powder – 1 small spoon
Salt – For taste
5. Vinegar – 6 big spoons
How to prepare Prawns Pickle (Chemmeen Achar)?
1. Heat oil and sauté prawns along with ingredients no: 3.
2. Add ingredients no: 4 and mix well.
3. Add vinegar and allow the contents to boil.
4. When contents thicken, put off the flame.
5. Allow the pickle to cool off completely and store in air-tight containers.
