Pazham Pulissery (Sweet Banana Pulissery)

Ingredients for Pazham Pulissery (Sweet Banana Pulissery):

1. Kerala banana well ripen – 1, cut into pieces

    Green chillies – 5

    Chilli powder – 1 small spoon

    Turmeric powder – 1/2 small spoon

    Salt – For taste

2. Coconut scrapped – 1 cup

    Cumin seeds – 1 pinch

3. Butter milk – ½ litre

4. Fenugreek powder – 1/2 small spoon

5. Oil – 3 small spoons

6. Mustard – 1 small spoon

    Red chillies – 2

    Curry leaves – 1 stalk

How to prepare Pazham Pulissery (Sweet Banana Pulissery)?

1. Cook together ingredients no: 1.

2. Make a fine paste of coconut and fenugreek seeds.

3. Add this paste to cooked banana and smash slightly.

4. When it starts boiling, add buttermilk and mix well.

5. Stir continuously so that buttermilk won’t split.

6. Add fenugreek powder and take off from flame.

7. Heat oil and sauté ingredients no: 6.

8. Add to Pazham Pulissery curry and mix well.
