Pazham Panchara Ada is an easy Kerala sweet made with ripe bananas sautéed in ghee and sugar, then wrapped in a soft batter and cooked like pancakes. This is an easy homemade banana sugar ada recipe with simple ingredients and step-by-step instructions.

Pazham Panchara Ada

Ingredients for Pazham Panchara Ada (Banana – Sugar Ada):

  1. Ghee – 2 big spoons
  2. Banana – 2, chopped into small pieces
  3. Sugar – 4 big spoons
  4. Cardamom powder – 1 small spoon
  5. Maida – 100 gms
    Milk – 150 milli
    Sugar – 5 small spoons
    Eggs – 2
    Refined oil – 2 small spoons

How to prepare Pazham Panchara Ada (Banana – Sugar Ada)?

  1. Heat the ghee in a pan, and sauté the banana pieces for two minutes.
  2. Sprinkle sugar on its top.
  3. When sugar melts, changes brown, and fully sticks to the banana, turn off the flame.
  4. Mix ingredients no: 5 and prepare the batter.
  5. Heat a non-stick pan, pour the batter, and prepare pancakes.
  6. Place a little filling in the centre of the pancake and fold it into a samosa shape.
  7. Flip both sides and cook well.
  8. Continue the process for the remaining batter and filling.
