Officer Chicken Curry recipe

Ingredients for Officer’s Chicken Curry:

  1. Chicken – 1 kg
  2. Coconut oil – 150 grams
  3. Bay leaf (Vayana Ila) – 3
    Onions chopped – 1/4 kg
    Green chillies chopped – 2 small spoons
    Ginger chopped – 2 small spoons
    Garlic chopped – 2 small spoons
    Curry leaves – 1 stem
  4. Chilli powder – 1 big spoon
    Turmeric powder – 1 small spoon
    Coriander powder – 1 big spoon
    Salt – For taste
  5. Potatoes – Half kg, cut into big pieces
    Water – As needed
  6. Kanthari (Bird’s eye chili) – 10 grams, fried and crushed
  7. Ghee – 2 small spoons
  8. Shallots – 200 gm chopped

How to prepare Officer’s Chicken Curry?

  1. Clean chicken and cut into 80-gram pieces each.
  2. Heat oil in an urli and saute ingredients number 3.
  3. Add ingredients number 4 and mix well.
  4. Add chicken, potato, and water, and cook well.
  5. Add fried and crushed chillies, followed by shallots fried in ghee.
  6. Mix your chicken curry and serve it hot.
