Vincy Aloshious – Malayalam film actress of ‘Vikruthi’ fame

Vincy Aloshious is an actress belonging to Malayalam cinema. An architecture student from Ponnani of Malappuram district, she came to limelight for the first time through the talent hunt show, Nayika Nayakan, on Mazhavil Manorama in 2018. She along with Addis Antony became the runner-up pair of the show, which declared Darshana S.Nair and Shambu Menon as winners, and awards were distributed by actors Kunchacko Boban and Samvrutha Sunil. In 2019 she marked her screen debut playing parallel lead role of Zeenath in acclaimed movie, Vikruthi, directed by Emcy Joseph. She played Soubin Shahir’s bride in the movie.

Vincy Aloshious comes from a lower middle class family of Malappuram district. Her father Aloshious is a driver, and mother Sony is a housewife. Her elder brother Vipin works outside India. Her parents wanted her to get married after architecture studies. But destiny was something else and she joined entertainment field. The talent show – Nayika Nayakan gave her a major break.

Since school days she participated in different events like music, dance, skit etc. Abu Valayamkulam, now a casting director of Mollywood, was the first person who suggested her to do mono act, while teaching her mime. She started doing it, which proved to be the biggest turning point of her life. Vikruthi marked her big screen debut in year 2019. Her role of receptionist in 2021 Nivin Pauly starrer, Kanakam Kamini Kalaham, also got noticed.

Vincy Aloshious – Some interesting and less-known facts

1. After partition from her ancestral family it took almost 19 years for her family to slowly construct the home where she lives now. When she became a part of Nayika Nayakan, furnishing work of the home was still pending.

2. She failed in the first audition of Nayika Nayakan but surprisingly got an entry to the grooming session of the show.

3. She was initially shy during her participation in the show – Nayika Nayakan and the grooming session played an important role in her transformation. Initially her parents too were not promoting, who wanted her to concentrate on to her studies.

4. Her ‘Chicken Curry’ performance and bold look in the finale round of the show – Nayika Nayakan was well received, and its videos also became popular online. Though she couldn’t become winner of the show, her act was appreciated most by online viewers.
