Roshni Prakash – South Indian Film Actress of ‘Kavaludaari’ fame

Roshni Prakash is an upcoming actress of south Indian cinema, who works in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films. She is a native of Karnataka. She marked her screen debut with Telugu film, Saptagiri Express in 2016, followed by Kannada debut with Tiger Gaali in 2017 and Tamil debut through Yemaali in 2018. She shot to fame playing the lead role of Priya in 2019 Kannada investigation thriller, Kavaludaari opposite Rishi. Film was a major hit across Karnataka.

Roshni Prakash’s real name is Preeti. She was born in 1993 in Mysore. After completing civil engineering, she worked as a construction engineer before foraying into modelling and acting field. She was one of the finalists of Femina Miss India South 2016, which opened her doors to film field. She got her first film role the same year. She played the female lead opposite comedian Saptagiri in small budget film, Saptagiri Express, which was a commercial success. Very soon she bagged projects from Kannada and Tamil industry as well.

Her debut Tamil film in a supporting role, Yemaali tanked at box office. After working in a couple of Kannada films in 2017, she got a major break through Kavaludaari – voted as the best Kannada film of the first half of 2019.

1. She is an engineer turned model-actress.

2. Chimpu is her pet name.

3. She has one brother, Prajwal Bharath.

4. She completed engineering from Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering, Mysore and worked as an engineer for a while.

5. Travelling is her favourite hobby, and she loves Chinese food.

6. She played a cop in her second Kannada film, Tiger Galli.

7. She was crowned title Miss Jayciana 2015 in her college just before participating in Femina Miss India South 2016.
