Lisa Haydon – Model and Bollywood actress of ‘Queen’ fame

Lisa Haydon is a successful model and Bollywood actress who shot to fame after playing the supporting role of Vijayalakshmi. The Shaukeens, Housefull 3, Rascals, Aisha, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil etc are a few more noted appearances in Bollywood. She has hosted the TV shows – India’s Next Top Model during 2015-2016 and Top Model India in 2018, and also appeared in a web series, The Trip in 2016. She is married to British businessman Dino Lalvani since 2016. Her father-in-law Gulu Lalvani of British India (now Pakistan) origin is the founder and chairman of Binatone, a manufacturer of digital cordless phones.

Lisa Haydon hails from Chennai, born in 1986. Her father is a Keralite and mother is an Australian. In her late teens she wanted to become a yoga teacher. She started modelling at that time while in Australia, to pay for her psychology classes. She moved to India in 2007 to pursue a career in modelling here. She has been a successful ramp model in India and was also featured in a few TV ads before she bagged her debut Bollywood film – Aisha. She was spotted by Anil Kapoor in a coffee shop and offered her a supporting role in Aisha. She owns a very successful modelling career in India and has been featured as cover girl for major fashion magazines like Verve, FHM, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Femina etc.

1. Her real name is Elisabeth Marie Haydon.

2. Her younger days were spent in Australia till she reached India in 2007 for a career in modelling.

3. She was seen in the item song ‘Racha’ of Telugu flick, Racha.

4. She played one of three female leads in Housefull 3 in 2016, and also made a cameo appearance in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil the same year.

5. She was nominated at Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for her impressive performance in Queen.

6. DJ Malika Haydon is her sister. She along with Nina forms a successful DJ duo.

7. She is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer and has attended classes at Shiamak Davar’s dance school for 5 years.
