Himmanshoo A. Malhotra – Popular Hindi actor and winner of ‘Nach Baliye 7’

Himmanshoo A. Malhotra is an actor belonging to Marathi and Hindi entertainment industry. Best known for his appearance in TV soaps and reality shows, he also plays lead and supporting roles on Marathi and Hindi big screen. In 2015 he won Nach Baliye – 7 aside his wife Amruta Khanvilkar. “Splitsvilla” fame and TV actor Mohit Malhotra is his younger brother. His roles in Bhagonwali-Baante Apni Taqdeer and Aapki Antara are popular.

Himmanshoo A. Malhotra hails from a business family

Himmanshoo A. Malhotra was born into a business family, based in Delhi in 1982. Initially he was interested in cricket. Later he decided to join family business and also completed her MBA studies. He was spotted for a talent hunt show while at Delhi, and later he contested in Zee’s Cinestars Ki Khoj in 2004, where he finished among top 3 contestants. It gave him early break to TV shows, which he accepted.

He became a part of some of the youth oriented and romantic shows during his early phase in television. Later he succeeded through family dramas as well. He is a seasonal actor on Bollywood screen, and has appeared in Wajah Tum Ho and Hum Chaar. He also signed 2020 project, Shershaah.

He met Amruta Khanvilkar for the first time in the sets of Cinestars Ki Khoj

Amruta and Himmanshoo were co-participants of India’s Best Cinestars Ki Khoj, way back in 2004 and got attracted to each other. Amruta finished third at India’s Best Cinestars Ki Khoj and Malhotra also found his space among top 3 contestants. After a lot of troubles and good times, they finally got married in 2015. Same year they won Nach Baliye – 7.

1. Gyming and dancing are his favourite hobbies.

2. His younger brother Mohit Malhotra, known for his charm and cute smile was inspired from him, and later stepped into his shoes of an actor. Mohit is 4 years younger to him.

3. His chemistry with Samaira in TV series – Love Marriage Ya Arranged Marriage was electric and there were stories of their link-up. But rumours died soon.

4. He took a year break from television and handled family business when his father passed away. His mother took over the family business, while Himmanshoo supported his mother.

5. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, though he made attempts to become a cricketer, couldn’t succeed and later he reached entertainment industry.
