Jackfruit Curry (Chakkapazha Curry)

Ingredients for Jackfruit Curry (Chakkapazha Curry):

1. Jackfruit ripen chopped into round pieces – 1 cup full

    Green chillies – 4, end split

    Turmeric powder – ¼ small spoon

    Salt – As required

2. Coconut scrapped – 1 cup

    Cumin seeds – ½ small spoon

    Garlic – 2 cloves

3. Water – 1 cup

4. Lemon juice – 1 small spoon

5. Coconut oil – 2 big spoons

6. Mustard – ½ small spoon

7. Shallots chopped – 1 small spoon

    Red chillies – 1, cut into pieces

    Curry leaves – A handful

How to prepare Jackfruit Curry (Chakkapazha Curry)?

1. Add a little water to ingredients no: 1 and cook it well.

2. Make a fine paste of ingredients no: 2.

3. Add this coconut paste along with one cup water to cooked jackfruit.

4. Cook in low flame for a few more minutes till it is done.

5. Add lemon juice and also extra salt if needed, and take off the curry from flame.

6. Heat coconut oil and sputter mustard seeds.

7. Sauté ingredients no: 7 and temper your curry.
