Fish Masala with Coconut Milk

Ingredients for Fish Masala with Coconut Milk:

1. Fish – 1/4 kg

2. Green Chillies – 5

    Turmeric powder – 1 small spoon

    Fennel – 2 small spoons

    Cumin – 3 small spoons

    Ginger – 1-inch piece

    Coconut scrapped – 3 big spoons

    Tamarind – 1 small ball, squeezed in water

3. Oil – 4 big spoons

4. Bay leaves (Vayana Ila) – 2

    Green chillies – 4, end split

5. Sugar – ½ small spoon

    Salt – For taste

6. Thick coconut milk – 1 cup

    Garam masala powder – 1 small spoon

7. Melted butter – 1.5 small spoons

How to prepare Fish Masala with Coconut Milk?

1. Clean fish and slice into pieces.

2. Make a paste of ingredients no: 2.

3. Heat oil and sauté bay leaves and green chilles.

4. Add coconut gravy and sauté for a while.

5. When a thin layer of oil appears on the surface, add fish slices, salt and sugar.

6. If needed, add excess water and cook fish in low flame.

7. When it’s done, add coconut milk and garam masala powder.

8. Boil the fish curry in low flame and add melted butter. Put off the flame.
