Dates Ball Payasam recipe

Ingredients for Dates Ball Payasam:

1. Roasted ragi flour – 3 cups

    Dates paste – 2 cups

2. Coconut milk – As needed

3. Arrowroot powder – 3 cups

    Coconut – 1, scraped

    Rice flakes – 1 cup

    Water – 6 cups

4. Cashews – 12, soaked in water and ground

    Condensed milk – 300 gm

5. Ghee – 6 big spoons + A little more

How to prepare Dates Ball Payasam?

1. Take ragi flour and ground date paste in a bowl.

2. Manually mix them together.

3. Add sufficient coconut milk and make small balls from it.

4. Make a fine paste of ingredients no: 3 using a mixer.

5. Add 6 big spoons of ghee to a pan and fry the balls.

6. Add a little more ghee and add the arrowroot mixture.

7. Keep stirring and allow the contents to boil.

8. Add cashew paste and condensed milk.

9. When it boils well, add the fried balls and turn off the flame.

10. Serve after the payasam cools a little bit.
