Coffee Nut Cake
Ingredients for Coffee Nut Cake:
1. Warm milk – ½ cup
Instant coffee powder – 2 small spoons
2. Eggs – 3
3. Maida – 2 cups
Baking powder – 1 small spoon
Salt – A pinch
4. Cashews powdered – ¾ cup
5. Butter softened – 1 cup
Sugar powdered – 2 cups
6. Vanilla essence – 1 small spoon
For frosting:
7. Brown sugar – 1 cup
Milk – 2 big spoons
8. Instant coffee powder – 2 small spoons
9. Rum – 1 big spoon
Cashews broken – 1 cup
How to prepare Coffee Nut Cake?
1. Pre-heat oven in 180 degree celsious.
2. Mix coffee powder in hot milk.
3. Beat eggs and keep aside.
4. Mix together ingredients no: 3 and blend well.
5. Add powdered cashews to the above mixture and mix well.
6. Mix sugar and butter in another container and add beaten eggs slowly.
7. Blend the contents well and add vanilla essence. Stir well.
8. Add maida mixture and milk (added with coffee) alternatively and slowly mix the contents.
9. Continue the process till full maida mixture and milk are used.
10. Grease a cake pan and pour this batter.
11. Bake the cake in the pre-heated oven for 30-40 minutes.
12. To prepare frosting, first mix brown sugar with milk and heat in low flame.
13. Before sugar dissolves completely take the mixture from flame.
14. Add coffee powder to it and mix well, followed by rum and broken cashews.
15. Spread this frosting on the top of the prepared cake.
