Beetroot Thatta
Ingredients for Beetroot Thatta:
1. Rice flour – 2 cups
Salt – For taste
Curry leaves chopped fine – 1 big spoon
Butter – 1 big spoon
2. Beetroot juice – 1.5 big spoons
3. Warm water – 1 cup
4. Oil – For frying
How to prepare Beetroot Thatta?
1. Transfer ingredients no: 1 into a bowl and manually mix the ingredients.
2. Add beetroot juice to it and mix again.
3. Add warm water little by little and knead the dough. If needed, add excess water.
4. Grease your hands with oil or butter and make small balls from the dough.
5. Press them gently and spread them to thin round shapes.
6. Heat oil and fry your thattas till both the sides turn crispy. Turn both sides.
Note: To prepare Beetroot juice, take 4 pieces of beetroot, and grind well adding a little water. Extract the juice from it and use for the preparation of Beetroot Thatta.
