Arun Ajikumar is an actor associated with Malayalam cinema, best known for doing supporting roles. Arun was best noticed for his role as Nakul, Jithin’s friend in 2025 hit film, Padakkalam. Pookkaalam (2023), Little Hearts (2024), Lovely (2025) and Anweshippin Kandethum (2024) are other noticed works. He is also an entrepreneur who founded Aesthetic Kunjamma Private Limited, a poster designing company. He designed posters for many films including Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, Bramayugam and Diés Iraé.

He was born on 24 January 2000 in Edapally, Kochi, Kerala. His father works in Modern Bread Company and his mother in a yoga instructor. His younger sister is doing master’s degree. His family is very supportive in his filmy career.
Since school days he was interested in cultural events, and started giving auditions since 9th standard. He continued it till his final year B.Com. Those days he began his experiments with posters too. He began with creating posters of short films, shot by himself. He was an introvert and shy person. To change his attitude, his father took him to a drama company where he took his primary acting classes. Later he took acting seriously, and started giving auditions.
Arun Ajikumar was doing his B. Com studies with less interest when the Covid pandemic hit India. When he got bored sitting at home, he started making posters of Mohanlal-Mammootty films. He also picked Kamal Hassan’s Anbe Sivam and American film, Forrest Gump, created a new poster combining both and posted in Instagram. People, with pics standing in front of banana leaf and coconut leaves, started tagging his pictures ‘Aesthetic’ and posted.
Though Arun didn’t like that tag initially, slowly he started liking it. Then he created an Instagram account ‘Aesthetic Kunjamma’, which combines traditional name and foreign attitude. As time passed by, this handle name started growing as a company. Though he is not well-versed in drawing, he became the founder of the company, alongside Deepak in 2022. They learnt everything through Youtube.
Veyil was his first film as a poster designer
In 2022, Malayalam movie Veyil was released. His first film poster was for this film. Second film was Madhuram (2021). When he requested for a role in the film, he got it too. As a poster designer, his best work is Mammootty starrer, Bramayugam (2024). Under his company name, he designed posters for Bazooka, Kannur Squad, Avesham, Diés Iraé, Hit: The Third Case, Manthadi etc. He designed posters for Mammootty-Mohanlal starrer upcoming film too. Apart from designing posters for Diés Iraé, he played Kiran, Kani’s brother in the movie too.
Padakkalam – The breakthrough role of Arun Ajikumar’s career
He has attended auditions for at least 100 films. As an actor, School Bus (2016) directed by Rosshan Andrrews was his debut film, where he played a brief role. Yet it was after 2020, he started appearing in films. Madhuram (2021) was the first among the releases. In 2023, he appeared in Tamil anthology series, Modern Love Chennai. In 2024, he marked his Bollywood debut through Do Aur Do Pyaar. Yet, it was Padakkalam (2025) which gave him a breakthrough in the field of acting. His role as Power Bhai in Little Hearts also got noticed.
Arun Ajikumar – Some interesting and less-known facts

He was a creative member of the team, which designed the posters for Lokah
1. Since childhood he started performing with various theatre groups in Kochi, including Lokadharmi. He joined this theatre group while studying in third grade. During teens, he started appearing in short films.
2. In 2011, he appeared in a short film directed by Jude Anthany Joseph, which was based on Mammooty’s life – Mammookkas Biography. It was for the first time he faced camera, when he was studying in grade 7. He was spotted by Jude in the theatre company.
3. Without any drawing skills or formal trainer, he learnt poster designing through Youtube.
4. He has attended the audition of Thattathin Marayath, but couldn’t get through.
5. He took a lot of preparations for playing the role of Power Bhai in Little Hearts. He spent three days in a scrap shop to get into the skin of the heart, and this role is so close to him.
6. Arun Ajikumar became a part of Rahul Sadasivan’s camp, and worked in three films, Bhoothakalam, Bramayugam and Diés Iraé.
