Tania – Punjabi film actress best known for her debut flick ‘Qismat’

Tania is a talented and budding actress of Punjabi cinema. Qismat (2018) is her debut flick, which won her best supporting award and nomination for best female debut at Brit Asia TV Awards. After an impressive debut, she played supporting roles in Son of Manjeet Singh, Guddiyan Patole and Rabb Da Radio 2, and has already signed her first lead role – Sufna. She bagged best actor award during her college days, consecutively for many years between 2012 and 2016 in Guru Nanak Dev University inter-college competitions, and is a national level winner in classical dance competitions.

Tania was born in 1993 in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. Her younger days were spent in Amritsar and Canada. As she was interested in acting and dancing, she was quite active in cultural events as well as competitions. She won many accolades also. She is graduated in Interior Designing and Project management. After her break through performance in Qismat, and bagging her first debut lead role, Tania has a promising career ahead. She chooses her roles wisely, and is not reluctant to accept supporting but meaty roles. “Gallan Teriyan” from movie Qismat filmed on her was an instant hit.

1. She was offered to play Randeep Hooda’s daughter in Bollywood film, Sarbjit in 2016. However because of her final year exams at Canada, she had to decline the offer.

2. Son of Manjeet Singh was her first signed project, though Qismat released earlier. She also finished shooting of Son of Manjeet Singh first.

3. She was associated with theatre for 4 longs before getting her first break in film industry.

4. She is the national award winner of classical dance in 2008.

5. She owns a modelling career, and has won Miss Amritsar 2011 beauty pageant.
