Vada Pav with Mint Chutney

Ingredients for Vada Pav with Mint Chutney:

1. Tomato – 100 gm

    Mint leaves – 220 gm

    Green chillies chopped fine – 2 small spoons

    Salt – For taste

    Red chilli powder – 1 small spoon

    Chat masala – 1/2 small spoon

    Oil – A little

For Vada:

2. Oil – 1 big spoon

3. Cumin seeds – ¼ small spoon

    Onion – 1, chopped fine

    Tomato – 1, chopped fine

    Green chillies – 2, chopped fine

    Turmeric powder – ½ small spoon

    Chilli powder – 2 small spoons

    Potato boiled and smashed – 150 gm

4. Coriander leaves chopped fine – 2 big spoons

For batter:

5. Bengal gram – 50 gm

    Cumin powder – 1 small powder

    Green chillies chopped fine – ½ small spoon

    Coriander leaves chopped fine – 1 big spoon

    Kasuri methi powder – A pinch

6. Oil – For frying

7. Pav bun – 2

How to prepare Vada Pav with Mint Chutney?

1. Immerse tomatoes in hot water and then in cold water and remove skin.

2. To prepare mint tomato chutney, make a fine paste of ingredients no: 1.

3. To prepare Vada, heat oil in pan first and sauté ingredients no: 3.

4. Add coriander leaves to it and put off the flame.

5. Make small balls from this mixture, approximate 50 gm each.

6. Mix together ingredients no: 5 in a bowl to prepare batter.

7. Dip each ball in the batter and deep fry in hot oil.

8. Cut each paav bun into halves and spread a thin layer of mint chutney on both inner surfaces.

9. Place a vada (cutlet) inside one half and cover it with the next one.

10. Do the process for second paav bun too.

11. Serve Vada Pav with tomato sauce.
