In this simple Chocolate Cake, Chocolate Ganache is used as the topping. Ganache is usually thicker and richer compared to glaze. As the name suggests, glaze is thinner and shinier. Chocolate Ganache, made by mixing chocolate and cream, can be poured, whipped, or spread on the top of the prepared cake. Texture depends on the chocolate-to-cream ratio, and it is usually used for filling, frosting, or drip cakes. Classic ganache is defined as a mixture of chocolate and cream, and the proportion and consistency may vary depending on the type of recipe.
