Sandeep Dikshit – Congress politician and 2-term parliamentarian from Delhi
Sandeep Dikshit is an Indian politician belonging to Indian National Congress. He served as a member of Lok Sabha twice during 2004-2014. He served as a Member of Committee on Rural Development for both these terms, apart from handling a few more positions. He holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Rural Management from the Institute of Rural Management Anand. He is the son of former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and IAS officer Vinod Dikshit, and the grandson of freedom fighter Uma Shankar Dikshit.
Sandeep Dikshit was born into a family of social workers and politicians. He was born in Lucknow in 1964. Following his mother’s footsteps he too reached politics. He was the head of SANKET, a social development group and has worked on rural development and human development issues before joining active politics. Even after joining politics, he continued with his contributions towards rural development. He was an elected member of 14th and 15th Lok Sabha.

1. He manages two companies – Bhopal Eco Farms and Sanket Information and Research Agency along with his political career.
2. In 2017 for his derogatory remarks against an army chief, an FIR was filed against him. He later apologized.
3. He has served as Deputy Chief Whip and then the Chief Whip before joining Lok Sabha.
