Rava Ottada recipe

Ingredients for Rava Ottada:

  1. Rava – 1½ cups
    Wheat flour – ½ cup
    Sugar – 1 tbsp
    Yeast – 1 tsp
    Salt – As needed
  2. Lukewarm water – 2 cups

How to prepare Rava Ottada?

  1. Place the first ingredients in a bowl, add 1½ cups of water, and mix well.
  2. Transfer the contents to a mixer and grind to a smooth paste.
  3.  Add the remaining water, grind again, and transfer to a bowl.
  4. Cover and let the batter rest for one hour.
  5. Then mix well, pour a ladleful of batter onto a hot griddle, spread gently like a dosa, and let sit for a short time.
  6.  When small bubbles appear, cover and cook for a few minutes over a low flame.
  7.  This will make 10 to 12 Rava Ottadas.

Note: Take special care to cook them on low heat. Otherwise, you won’t get perfect Ottadas
