Potato Mushroom Papas

Ingredients for Potato Mushroom Papas:

1. Coconut – 1 

2. Oil / Coconut oil – 3 tbsp 

3. Cinnamon – A small piece 

   Cardamom – 3 

   Cloves – 3 

4. Onion – 1 large, sliced 

   Green chilli – 2, slit 

   Ginger (thinly sliced) – 1 tsp 

   Curry leaves – 1 sprig 

5. Garlic – 5 cloves 

   Ginger – A small piece 

   Fennel seeds – 1 tsp 

   Coriander powder – 1 tsp 

   Chilli powder – ½ tsp 

   Turmeric powder – ½ tsp 

   Meat masala powder – ½ tsp  

6. Salt – To taste 

7. Potatoes – 2 medium, cubed 

8. Mushrooms – 1 packet, quartered 

9. Vinegar – ½ tbsp 

10. Ghee – 1 tbsp 

11. Mustard seeds – 1 tsp 

      Dried red chillies – 2, chopped 

      Curry leaves – 1 sprig 

      Kashmiri chilli powder – ½ tsp 

How to prepare Potato Mushroom Papas?

1. Grate the coconut and extract one cup of first milk and two cups of second milk. Keep them aside.

2. Heat oil in a pan and splutter the third ingredients.

3. Add the fourth ingredient and sauté well.

4. When the raw smell disappears, add the ground mixture from the fifth ingredients along with salt and sauté thoroughly.

5. Add potatoes and the second milk, then continue cooking.

6. When it is half-cooked, add mushrooms and continue cooking.

7. Once done, add the first milk and remove from heat when it starts to boil.

8. Stir in vinegar.

9. Heat ghee, temper the eleventh ingredients, and add it to the curry.
