Pavakka Vazhuthananga Upperi

Ingredients for Pavakka Vazhuthananga Upperi:

1. Bitter gourd (not too ripe) – 2, finely chopped 

    Green brinjal – 2, finely chopped 

    Salt – As required 

    Turmeric powder – 1/2 teaspoon 

    Green chillies – 3, chopped 

    Water – As required 

2. Shallots – 8 

    Grated coconut – Half of one coconut 

3. Oil – As required 

4. Mustard seeds – 1/2 teaspoon 

    Dried red chillies – 2 

    Curry leaves – A sprig 

How to prepare Pavakka Vazhuthananga Upperi?

1. Combine the first set of ingredients and cook well. 

2. When the water almost evaporates, crush shallots and grated coconut, and add this mixture.

3. Stir the contents well. 

4. Heat oil, add the fourth set of ingredients for tempering, pour it over the curry, stir well, and remove from heat.
