Palak Leaf Pulissery Palak Cheera Pulissery

Ingredients for Palak Leaf Pulissery (Palak Cheera Pulissery):

1. Palak – ¼ kg

2. Cucumber – 50 gm

3. Green mango cut into pieces – ¼ cup

4. Salt – For taste

    Turmeric powder – ½ small spoon

5. Coconut scrapped – 1.5 cups

    Chilli powder – 1 small spoon

    Cumin seeds – ¼ small spoon

    Shallots – 1

6. Oil – 1 small spoon

7. Mustard and fenugreek – ¼ small spoon

8. Red chillies – 1, cut into two

How to prepare Palak Leaf Pulissery (Palak Cheera Pulissery)?

1. Wash palak leaves and chop into very fine pieces.

2. Cut cucumber into tiny pieces.

3. Cook palak, cucumber and mango pieces adding sufficient salt, turmeric powder and water.

4. Make a fine paste of ingredients no: 5 to prepare the gravy.

5. When vegetables are well cooked, add gravy to it.

6. Heat oil in a pan and sputter mustard and fenugreek seeds.

7. Sauté red chillies and pour to the curry.

8. When the curry slightly boils, put off the flame.

Note: You can substitute green mangoes with butter milk for this curry.
