Note: The romantic song was beautifully filmed at night against the backdrop of Bharatapuzha River (Nila). So, many of the Sanskrit words describe the beauty of the night and the river, predominantly black.
Perhaps the best Malayalam song of the 1990s in terms of lyrical beauty. Matchless. Its lyrics have so many layers, so many explanations, quite a few not meant for us to understand. Only Kaithapram, who penned it, knows. Yes, poets hide many emotions in between their lines, not everything meant for us to read and decode. Sad that this extremely popular song didn’t earn any awards.
