Gouri G. Kishan – Actress who played teenager role of Trisha in ‘96’

Gouri G. Kishan is a film actress associated with Tamil cinema, who shot to fame playing the childhood role of Trisha Krishnan in 2018 Tamil blockbuster, 96. It was Gouri’s film debut, where she played younger version of Jaanu. She is of Kerala origin and hails from Adoor of Pathanamthitta District.

Gouri is of Kerala origin, but was brought up in Chennai. Her father hails from Vaikkam. The director of movie 96, Prem Kumar is a friend of her uncle and that’s how she got opportunity to attend auditions. She reduced a few pounds and also attended acting classes for 7 days, as she felt that her character has so much significance in the movie. Yes, Gouri played one of the most adorable roles for the romantic film. Though she has received numerous film offers after the success of her debut flick, she is now concentrating on her studies. She is currently doing BA Triple Major at Bangalore Christ University. Her elder brother is doing Master’s in the same college.

Gouri G. Kishan – Some interesting and less-known facts

1. Though she is of Kerala origin, she was brought up in Chennai, and she visits her hometown only during vacation. Gouri has been in Chennai for the past 15 years.

2. She is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer.

3. When the role of Janu was offered to her, she did a lot of workouts to reduce 5 kgs so that she perfectly fit for the role.

4. There were rumours that she was dating her 96 co-star Aadi (Adithya Bhaskar) which both have denied.

5. Her family members are movie buffs, though doesn’t share any filmy background.

6. Acting has never been in her mind until the moment she appeared for the audition.

7. She believes that in real life too, she is a bold person and that’s why she could easily get into the skin of the character Jaanu.

8. Currently she is doing her graduation in journalism.
