Anupam Bhattacharya of Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani fame

Anupam Bhattacharya is a television actor associated with Hindi soaps. He has also played brief roles in Bollywood movies – The Killer (2006), Khatta Meeta (2010), Te3n (2016) and Satya Bol (2004). He gained recognition through TV soaps rather than big screen roles, and is best known for the roles he played in Woh, Saturday Suspense and Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani.

Anupam Bhattacharya was introduced to acting world through Doordarshan’s iconic show of 1990s – Swabhimaan, one of the early soaps of Indian television industry. He was one among the artists of Indian entertainment industry who got introduced to acting world through this show. He essayed the supporting role of Yuvraj in the show aired in the mid-1990s. Later he was seen as Sanjeev in horror series Woh aside Ashutosh Gowarikar (who played male lead Ashutosh) and Saturday Suspense in the 1990s.

He turned regular with new millennium, and some of his shows are Kalash, Kittie Party, Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani, Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, Jauhar, Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki, Virasaat, Virasaat etc and was last seen in Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev in 2014 playing the character role of Ripunjay/Devodas.
