* Pirai – Literally it’s the crescent moon which appears after long wait, during Ramadan.

Trivia: Aishwarya Rai worked with the biggest stars of Malayalam film industry, Mammootty and Mohanlal in a single movie each. Interestingly they worked together not in Malayalam films, but in Tamil films. In fact Aishwarya marked her big screen debut opposite Mohanlal in Iruvar (1996), and 4 years later, worked with Mammootty in Kandukondein Kandukondein. A. R. Rahman composed music for both these films.
