D. Santosh – Theatre artist and Bollywood actor best known for ‘Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year’
D. Santosh is a stage and film actor, associated with Hindi entertainment industry. The comic role of Girish Reddy obsessed to porn films in Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year is his most memorable film role till now. Shiviram Hari Rajguru in The Legend of Bhagat Singh is yet another famous role. He has done character roles in My Name is Anthony Gonsalves, Traffic Signal, Zameen, Khakee, Iqbal, Dhamaal and a few more Bollywood films.
D. Santosh hails from Tamil Nadu and was born in 1976. He happened to attend a workshop conducted by Amol Palekar and Bhakti Barve in 1998, and his passion to become a stage actor grew after that. For the next 4 years he worked in many theatre productions, before he marked his screen debut through The Legend of Bhagat Singh in 2002. He played the revolutionary Sadguru in the film. He has attended Pandit Satyadev Dubey’s workshops and worked with Makarand Deshpande’s Ansh theatre troupe during his first stint with theater. He has appeared in several commercial ads and has acted in more than 15 movies and also a few short films.

3. During his initial days he worked for the play, Vasanth Ka Teesra Youvan as a backstage artist.
4. He was nominated at Star Screen Awards in the ‘Best Comic Actor’ category for his career best film role, Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year.
5. He was given free classes by Satyadev Dubey in his workshops.
