Trivia: Kamal Hassan’s 1st lead role was for the Malayalam film Kanyakumari, which bagged him the Filmfare best actor award. He was quite busy in Malayalam films before he completely switched to Tamil. Chembaka Thaikal is one of the top romantic songs of Kamal Hassan in Malayalam. Yesudas was retained as Kamal’s ghost voice for the majority of his Malayalam songs and also a few Tamil & Hindi songs.
