Luqaimat

Ingredients for Luqaimat:

1. Sugar – 1 cup

    Water – ¼ cup

2. Lukewarm milk – 2.25 cups

    Yeast – 1 big spoon

    Thick curd – 3 big spoons

3. Maida – 2.5 cups

    Corn flour – 3 big spoons

    Salt – A small spoon

4. Oil – For frying

How to prepare Luqaimat?

1. Mix sugar and water together and boil for three minutes.

2. Put off the flame, and add ingredients no: 2. Mix well.

3. Mix ingredients no: 3 together in a big bowl.

4. Add milk mixture little by little and mix well to prepare thick batter.

5. The consistency of batter should be slightly thicker than pancake’s.

6. Allow to rest the batter for half an hour.

7. Heat oil in a pan, pour the batter using a spoon and deep fry till golden brown.

8. Remove oil content of Luqaimat balls and dip in sugar solution to get a sweet coat.

9. Take them out and serve hot.
