Vishnu Prasad – Popular Malayalam TV actor of ‘Sthreepadam’ fame

Vishnu Prasad is a popular TV actor associated with Malayalam soaps and sitcoms. His rough & tuff and over-possessive lead role in Sthreepadam was well received. He along with Shelly Kishore formed an amazing screen Jodi through the show. His role as Venugopan has helped him to gain recognition among TV viewers. Throughout the series, he has excelled in different genres of characters – from an angry man to drunkard, and as a possessive and lovable person.

Vishnu Prasad reached television through theatre. Since then he mostly played villain and angry man types of roles. While he was going through similar pattern of roles in movies and television, he got a call from Malayalam film director Joshy. He was spotted by the director after seeing his roles on television, and offered him a character role in Dileep starrer Runway. As he couldn’t get good roles, he moved to Dubai, where he worked as an RJ. Yet he never left his acting dreams. But destiny was something else, and he turned a television actor.
