Spa for beauty – Do at home naturally
Do you want to see your skin glowing as sun? Do you want to add extra beauty to your face? If so close your eyes and do spa treatment. For beautiful body – body spa, for silky hair – hair spa, for beautiful hands and legs – pedicure spa and manicure spa; spa is available in different derivatives. Also, you may think that you need to visit a beauty parlour to do these beauty treatments wasting a lot of time and money. Not at all! You can do spa treatment at your home itself with less expense.
Body spa
Mix together 2 cup rava (sooji), 1.5 cup milk or curd and half cup cleansing milk. Massage your body gently with this mixture for 15 minutes and wash it off in lukewarm water. Now crush one papaya. If you have dry skin, mix one big spoon black gram powder to crushed papaya and apply it to your body. If you have oily skin, add dried orange skin powder instead of black gram to papaya. Wash it off after 30 minutes. If you have any skin problems, for example Psoriasis, seek a doctor’s advice before using this spa. Body spa makes your skin soft, shine and gives body freshness.
Hair spa
Hair spa helps to improve hair structure and reduces dandruff and hair fall a lot. Let me give you a cheap method to do hair spa at home. Soya bean powder – 1.5 cups, white yolk of two eggs and 20 hibiscus leaves made to a fine paste; mix them all and apply to your hair. After 15 minutes, give warmth to hair by using a towel dipped in hot water. Then after 15 minutes, wash your hair using shikakai (Acacia concinna).
Pedicure spa
Take warm water in a basin and add shampoo to it. Then dip your legs inside it and clean your legs using a brush. Then make a fine paste of 1 big spoon gram flour, 2 big spoon curd and 1 big spoon olive oil and apply on your feet. Allow it to dry and wash it off later.
Manicure spa
Take warm water in a basin and add shampoo to it. Then dip your hands in it for 10 minutes. Clean your nails using a brush and apply moisturizing lotion. Then mix juice from one lemon with a little sugar and massage your hands with it. After 10 minutes, wash it off. Mix 1 spoon olive oil with equal amount of coconut oil and apply on your hands. Wash it off after 10 minutes.
Eye spa
Boil half cup tea without adding milk or sugar and when it cools, place in refrigerator. After a few hours take it out and dip cotton in tea. Take rest for half an hour by placing that cotton above your eyes. If you do this spa regularly you can get rid of tiredness of eyes and is best for those who work in front of their personal computers for long hours. You can grind together equal amount of potato and carrot (about 1 big spoon each) and apply on your closed eyes. Do it regularly to get good results.
Spa day to rejuvenate your body and soul
When you are fully engaged in job and household activities, you get fully bored with repetitive tasks which you perform every day. If you have such a feeling, it’s time for your mind to recharge. To fully get rid of mental pressure and refresh your mind, and also to achieve a beautiful skin tone, you can dedicate a holiday for this purpose and celebrate it as ‘Spa day’. Keep note of these points if you have already decided to dedicate a day for your personal care.
Need a beautiful place – If you want to get the better results of your spa day, you need to begin some early preparations. If your rooms are untidy and things are not arranged, you won’t get good benefits. Dump waste things and make your home tidy. Bring some changes to your interior as per your preference, and also put curtains of your favourite colours.
Healthy food to purify body – Diet of spa day should be healthy, balanced, and should provide coolness and calmness to body. Tender coconut juice, lemon juice, butter milk, smoothies etc can be chosen. Eat light food only, and add fruits and salads only.
Refreshment for beauty – Grind half portion of a big sized Kerala banana to a fine paste, and add 2 big spoons of curd and 2 small spoons of honey. Mix the contents well and apply on scalp and hair.
After you have put on the hair mask, second task is to prepare face mask. Smash a small portion of Kerala banana and add two big spoons of oats powder and 1 small spoon honey. Apply this face scrub on face and neck. You can prepare sugar scrub for your body. Take 1 cup coconut oil, and add ½ cup powdered oats, 2 big spoons of olive oil and ½ cup brown sugar. Mix all the ingredients together to prepare the body scrub and massage your whole body using this scrub. It removes dead cells of skin and adds extra glow.
You can bath after half an hour. Add 3 or 4 drops of essential oil or 3 or 4 big spoons of lemon juice to the water before you bath. It refreshes your mind and body, and gives a pleasant smell. Use some herbal shampoo, shikakai powder or leaf thaali to remove the hair mask while bathing. Completely remove the moisture content of your face and body, and apply moisturizer which suits your skin. Choose cream or lotion.
Take rest – Choose comfortable cotton clothes or satin nightwear and take rest at a comfortable place. Listen soft music and avoid phone calls and social media. If possible switch off the mobile to completely isolate yourself from outer world. Read a book and also sleep for a while. Think only positive, and use positive words only. You can spare a day once in a week or once in a month to refresh yourselves.
