Ranjin Raj – Music composer of ‘Joseph’ fame
Ranjin Raj is a member of a royal family of Palakkad, Kerala, best known as a musician and playback singer of film industry. He started off his career as a playback singer in Kannada and Tamil movies, and also composed songs for Malayalam TV shows as well as jingles before he marked his debut as a music composer of Malayalam films in 2018. He also worked as a music composer of Malayalam Tv shows initially. Three of his films got released in 2018 – Joseph, Nithya Haritha Nayakan and Ormayil Oru Shishiram, and also composed two promo songs for Odiyan. He also composed background score for Nithya Haritha Nayakan.
As a music composer, he shot to fame with the popular song – “Poomuthole” of Joseph with a traditional folk style. As a playback singer he earned recognition through Kannada films, and his first hit song was composed by James Architect. Later he sang more than 10 Kannada film songs and a couple of Tamil songs. He also sang a few songs for Mollywood, yet gained recognition as a music composer.

1. He was a participant of Idea Star Singer in 2007 and reached till final round. He was also a runner-up in the singing show – Sangeeta Mahayudham.
2. He has also hosted and scripted the TV show, Kiran Classics for two years.
3. He has composed music for more than 50 jingles and a few TV shows and also did playback singing in Kannada and Tamil movies, before he joined Mollywood in 2018.
4. Two of his first films as a composer – Joseph and Nithya Haritha Nayakan were released exactly on the same day in 2018.
