Ariyunda

Ingredients for Naadan Ariyunda:

1. Dried rice – 2 cups 

2. Grated jaggery – ¾ cup 

3. Grated coconut – ¾ cup

How to prepare Naadan Ariyunda?

1. Wash the dried rice thoroughly and drain. Dry roast it in a hot heavy-bottomed pan, stirring continuously, making sure it doesn’t pop like puffed rice. 

2. Once it starts to crack slightly, remove from heat and spread on a flat plate to cool. 

3. Grind the cooled rice coarsely in a mixer. Transfer to a bowl, add grated jaggery and grated coconut, and mix well. 

4. Transfer a portion of this mixture back to the mixer jar and pulse gently using pulse mode. 

5. When the mixture turns slightly moist and holds shape, transfer to a plate and shape into small balls.
