Kaajal Pasupathi – Supporting actress of Tamil films

Kaajal Pasupathi is a supporting actress of Tamil films, and a former Bigg Boss contestant. She has excelled in vamp, police and glamorous roles on Tamil screen. She has been a TV host of Sun Music channel where she was a VJ, and worked in a couple of television shows before she turned active on silver screen. She marked her screen debut with Dishyum (2006), and earned recognition through 2011 hit film, Ko, where she portrayed the negative role of Rudra, Kadhir’s assistant and a terrorist.

Kaajal Pasupathi was born in Chennai in 1984. She was first seen as a video jockey for Sun Music channel. She bagged her first TV show Kasthuri in 2006 and has been a part of it for next 6 years. She was also a part of the first season of  Maanada Mayilada in 2007. Same year she also received her first film role through Dishyum. Yet Kaajal struggled for many years to play some memorable roles onscreen. Her brief role in Ko got noticed, followed by Mouna Guru, Aayirathil Iruvar and Katham Katham. Despite staying in industry for many years she is yet to get a big break in Kollywood.

Kaajal Pasupathi – Some interesting and less-known facts

1. She was known as VJ Kaajal during her stint as video jockey with Sun Music.

2. She received a film – Maadathi where she was to play the lead role of a slum girl. But the movie got shelved. It’s the case of many other films which were shot, but never got released.

3. She was a contestant of Bigg Boss 2017. She was a part of the show from day 54 to day 70, which made her a household name.

4. When she was a part of the dance show, Maanada Mayilada, she briefly dated choreographer Sandy.

5. She holds an MCA from Panimalar Institute of Management Studies & Computer Science.

6. She is divorced.

7. She is quite active on social media. She also shares her opinions on various issues.
