Mutton – Thengakoth Ularth recipe

Ingredients for Mutton – Thengakoth Ularth (Mutton – Coconut Pieces Ularth):

1. Mutton – 200 gm, cut into square pieces

2. Chilli powder – 2 small spoons

    Turmeric powder – 1/4 small spoon

    Garam masala powder – 1 small spoon

    Pepper powder – 1 small spoon

    Fennel powder – 1/2 a small spoon

    Green chillies crushed – ½ small spoon

    Ginger – 1 small piece, crushed

    Salt – For taste

3. Water – For cooking

4. Oil – 50 milli

5. Shallots – 50 gm chopped

   Coconut pieces – 20 gm

   Ginger – 1 small piece chopped

   Garlic – 4 cloves, chopped

   Green chillies – 1, chopped

   Curry leaves – 2 stalks

6. Chilli powder – 1 big spoon

   Coriander powder – 1 small spoon

   Turmeric powder – 3/4 small spoon

    Fennel powder – 1 small spoon

7. Fried onions and curry leaves – To decorate

How to prepare Mutton – Thengakoth Ularth (Mutton – Coconut Pieces Ularth)?

1. Marinate mutton using ingredients no: 2.

2. Add water to it and cook the mutton. Water content should be fully absorbed, and the mutton should turn dry.

3. Heat oil in a pan and sauté ingredients no: 5.

4. When it turns brown, add powders and mix well.

5. Add cooked mutton to it and mix well.

6. Check salt and decorate using fried onions and curry leaves.
