Karimizhi Kuruviye Song from Meesa Madhavan – Lyrics in English with Translation

Karimizhi Kuruviye song lyrics

Karimizhi kuruviye Kandeela

Nin Chirimani Chilamboli Ketteela

Nee Pande Ennodonnum Mindeela…

Sparrow with black eyes,

Not seen anywhere.

Your laugh & talk like anklets

Are not heard anywhere.

You have not talked to me for a long time

Karimizhi kuruviye Kandeela

Nin Chirimani Chilamboli Ketteela

Nee Pande Ennodonnum Mindeela(M)

Sparrow with black eyes,

Not seen anywhere.

Your laugh & talk like anklets

Are not heard anywhere.

You have not talked to me for a long time

Karimizhi kuruviye Kandeela

Kaavil Vanneela Raa Pooram Kandeela

Maaya Kaikottum Melavum Ketteela…(F)

You didn’t come to the serpent grove

Not even seen the festival

Or listened to instrumental music, clapping hands

Karimizhikkuruviye Kandeela

Nin Chirimani Chilamboli Ketteela

Nee Pande Ennodonnum Mindeela(M)

Sparrow with black eyes,

Not seen anywhere.

Your laugh & talk like anklets

Are not heard anywhere.

You have not talked to me for a long time

Karimizhi kuruviye Kandeela

Aanachantham Ponnambal Chamayam

Nin Naanachimizhil Kandeela…(M)

Elephant’s charm, the decoration of a water lily,

I didn’t see in the beauty of your shyness

Kaanaakkadavil Ponnoonjaal Padiyil..

Nin Onachinthum Ketteela..(F)

In the unseen ferry, in the swing

I didn’t see your Onam thoughts

Oh… Kalappurakkolayil Nee Kaathu Ninneela (M)

You didn’t wait at the entry of the granary

Marakkuda Konil Melle Meyyolicheela…(F)

Didn’t hide yourself in the umbrella

Paattonnum Paadeela (M)

Didn’t sing any song

Paalthulli Peytheela (F)

Didn’t pour as milk drops

Paattonnum Paadeela (M)

Didn’t sing the song

Paalthulli Peytheela (F)

Didn’t pour as milk drops

Nee Pande Ennodonnum Mindeela .. (M/F)

You haven’t talked to me for a long time

Nee Pande Ennodonnum Mindeela.. Mindeela. Mindeela.. (M)

Nee Pande Ennodonum Mindeela (F)

You haven’t talked to me for a long time

You haven’t talked to me for a long time

Karimizhikkuruviye Kandeela

Nin Chiri Manichilamboli Ketteela (M)

Sparrow with black eyes,

Not seen anywhere

Your laugh & talk like anklets

Are not heard anywhere

Eeranmaarum En Maaril Minnum

Ee Maaraamarukil Thotteela.. (F)

The mole that shines in the bosom,

When I change after a bath….

You didn’t touch

Neelakkannil Nee Nithyam Veykkum

Ee Ennathiriyaay Minneela…(M)

The oil wick, which you light every day in your blue eyes

I didn’t shine like that.

Mudichurul Choodinullil Nee Olicheela (F)

You didn’t hide behind the hotness of hairlocks

Mazhathazha Paaya Neerthi Nee Vilicheela (M)

You didn’t call me after spreading the palm mat

Maamunnan Vanneela (F)

You didn’t come to have food

Maarodu Chertheela (M)

You didn’t hug me

Maamunnan Vanneela (F)

You didn’t come to have food

Maarodu Chertheela (M)

You didn’t hug me

Nee Pande Ennodonnum Mindeela..(M/F)

You haven’t talked to me for a long time

Karimizhikkuruviye Kandeela

Nin Chirimani Chilamboli Ketteela

Nee Pande Ennodonnum Mindeela(M)

Sparrow with black eyes,

Not seen anywhere.

Your laugh & talk like anklets

Are not heard anywhere.

You have not talked to me for a long time

Karimizhi kuruviye Kandeela

Kaavil Vanneela Raa Pooram Kandeela

Maaya Kaikottum Melavum Ketteela…(F)

You didn’t come to the serpent grove

Not even seen the festival

Or listened to instrumental music, clapping your hands

Karimizhikkuruviye Kandeela

Nin Chirimani Chilamboli Ketteela Nee…..(M)

Sparrow with black eyes,

Not seen anywhere

Your laugh & talk like anklets

Are not heard anywhere

Movie Trivia

Note: Karimizhi Kuruvi is actually a happy song, not a sad song. Childhood friends/lovers who parted, reunited after years, expressing what they missed all these years.

Meesa Madhavan was a big blockbuster and helped Dileep establish himself as the next star material of Mollywood during the early 2000s. After that, he became so popular among the masses, and managed to bring audience to the theatres, something that the two big stars – Mammootty and Mohanlal failed to achieve during the decade and the next few years.
