Avalukappa Balls recipe

Ingredients for Avalukappa Balls (Dry Tapioca Balls):

1. Raw tapioca peeled, washed thoroughly, thinly sliced, sun-dried, and powdered – 3 cups 

2. Jaggery grated – 1 cup 

3. Coconut grated – 1 cup 

4. Cardamom powder – ½ teaspoon 

    Milk powder – ¼ cup

How to prepare Avalukappa Balls (Dry Tapioca Balls)?

1. Prepare the tapioca powder and set it aside. 

2. Melt the jaggery with water, strain it, and heat again until it reaches a one-thread consistency. 

3. Mix 1 cup of jaggery syrup with the grated coconut and heat briefly, then switch off the flame. 

4. Add cardamom powder and milk powder to this mixture and combine well. 

5. Add the tapioca powder and mix thoroughly to form a dough suitable for shaping. 

6. Roll the dough into small balls and shape them as desired.
