Fill a glass jar with chopped onion. Pour enough honey to fully cover the onion pieces. Close the jar and leave it overnight. The next day, strain it and store the syrup in a bottle (you may refrigerate it). Take one tablespoon, three to four times a day. If kept in refrigerator, place the sufficient amount of cough syrup outside refrigerator for some time and allow it to come to room temperature.

2. Homemade Ginger Cough Drops

Grate 150 g of ginger and make a fine paste. Put it in a pan and warm it slightly. Add 400 gram of jaggery and stir. When the mixture thickens and leaves the sides of the pan, add a little black salt, turmeric powder, pepper powder, and ghee. Mix well.

Scoop small portions of this ginger compound with a spoon and drop them on butter paper to form small round shapes. Once completely cooled, peel them off and store in a tightly closed jar. Take one whenever you have cough or throat problems.

3. Ginger–Lemon–Cinnamon Syrup

In a jar, combine chopped ginger, lemon juice, and cinnamon. Fill the rest of the jar with honey. After one day, strain and store it in a bottle. Take one tablespoon of this cough syrup, three times a day.
