Strict discipline in food habits can get rid of constipation issues

You feel discomfort throughout the day if you didn’t go to toilet in the early morning. It can affect all your daily activities as well as food intake, recreation and fun moments. You may feel depressed or mood out too. In most cases our bad food habits and less intake of water can lead to constipation. Use of certain drugs can also lead to same discomfort, though it’s not permanent.

Still doubt about constipation?

Some people doubt if they suffer from constipation or not. When you delay for some time, you may feel restless thinking the same. Some people have the habit to go to toilet more than once a day, and if they miss the frequency they may doubt about it. Such doubts are only pointless. If a person is not able to go to toilet for three continuous days, it’s constipation. Stool may be thick and blocked in the middle. They may feel stomach pain and need to press stomach to do the process.

Constipation is not a disease, but a disease symptom

Constipation may be a symptom of one or more disorders. Diabetics, thyroid issues, nervous disorder, shock or any issue with backbone, drugs used for treating depression, Parkinsonism etc may lead to constipation. In irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), dysentery and constipation take place in an alternate fashion.

As age passes by, if you feel constipation issues, you need to check if it is cancer affecting stomach or intestine. Dehydration, lack of fiber rich food, irregular toilet habits etc can also lead to constipation. During gestation period expansion of uterus exerts more pressure on intestine giving constipation.

Let us change our life style

If you follow good life style, food habits and toilet habits, constipation won’t affect you. Try to go to toilet exactly at the same time every day, as our body and digestive system are adjusted to it, just like a clock or alarm. Never try to control it or delay for a while, due to some inconvenience. If so stool losses water contents, thickens and it turns more difficult. When you wake up in the morning, wash your face and mouth, and drink two glasses of fresh water. Walk for half an hour and come back. Your digestion process will be perfectly OK.

Drink a lot of water and eat plenty of fruits

Drink plenty of water, at least 8 glasses a day. Include fiber rich vegetables, leafy vegetables and fruits in your daily diet. As fibers are indigestible it increases the amount of stool, making your toilet-going process easy. Chew your food well, so that digestion process runs without any issues. If you have digestion issues, it leads to constipation. When you take more time to chew food, it gets mixed with saliva and enzymes, which help easy digestion. Fast food and non-vegetarian dishes don’t have fiber content. Excess use of these items can lead to constipation.
