Pravessh Rana – Noted Hindi actor & Model

Pravessh Rana, previously known as Pravesh Rana is a popular actor and model, who works in Bollywood films and television shows. He is also a television host and model, who won Mr. India title in 2008. He participated in Bigg Boss where he became runner-up. Rana has hosted the reality show Emotional Atyachar and a few TV and Film award functions. He is best known for his debut Bollywood film, Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Returns (2013), which won him a nomination for Best Male Debut at the 2014 Apsara Awards.

A successful model turned actor

He was born in Baraut of Baghpat district on February 26, 1983. His father was a police inspector. During his school days, he was a mimicry artist who can imitate 52 stars. He graduated in Economics from Ramjas College, Delhi University. Later he completed his Master of Fine Arts from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

Parvesh Rana won the highly coveted Haywards 5000 Mr. India 2008 Contest, which helped him to shoot to stardom. There was no turning back after that. He also represented India in Mr. International held at China the same year. He has done ramp walks for almost all leading fashion designers.

Bigg Boss became the biggest turning point of Pravesh’s career

He turned immensely popular after he became a part of TV reality show, Bigg Boss – Season 3 in 2009, where he finished as runner-up. Rana was the 14th person to enter the Bigg Boss house, and he won the audition held at Delhi. After the show, he successfully hosted many TV shows and award nights and gained immense popularity.

After marking his big screen debut with Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Returns in 2013, he played numerous character roles on big screen. San’ 75 Pachattar, Radhe, Ram Setu and Deva are some of his noted appearances. In Deva (2025), he played the full-fledged role of DCP Farhan Khan, Dev’s brother-in-law.

In 2021 he appeared in British television series, The Serpant and American television series, Foundation. His appearance in 2023 Hindi TV series, Garmi also got noticed. “Hum Tum” (2019), “Rap Song – Red Carpet” (2019), and “You’re My Love” (2020) are his noted video appearances. Known for his commanding personality and versatile skills, he continues to entertain audience with his enigmatic style.

His marriage with noted model Scarlett Mellish Wilson

He married noted English model Scarlett Mellish Wilson in 2016. They had a church wedding in London, a Catholic ceremony attended by close friends including dancer Lauren Gottlieb, which was initially kept under wraps. Later they separated in 2022. Details about the reasons for their separation have not been publicly disclosed.
