Biography of Parvathy R Sankaradi – Mollywood Actress
Parvathy R Sankaradi alias Parvathy Sankaradi is an upcoming actress belonging to Malayalam film industry. She is best known for playing the supporting role of Mareena in Dileep starring 2025 hit film, Prince and Family. Legendary comedian and character artist of Mollywood yesterdays, Sankaradi was her great-uncle. Her father Rajagopala Menon has also worked in Malayalam film industry.
Parvathy was born into a family with film roots
Parvathy was born 13 February 1996, in Kochi, Kerala. She was born to Rajagopala Menon and Usha. Her real name is Parvathy R Menon. Her father has worked in Malayalam film industry for more than 40 years. Famous comedian Sankaradi was the maternal uncle of Rajagopala Menon. When he joined film industry, it was actor Sankaradi who advised him to keep the name, derived from the family name – Chankaradil. When Parvathy joined the film industry, following the tradition, she also kept the name. She completed graduation and is trained in Kuchipudi dance.
Parvathy Sankaradi started her filmy journey as a child artist
She joined film industry at the age of 10. Her debut movie was July 4, directed by Joshiy. She played the daughter of Vijayaraghavan and Reshmi. Her father who brought her film sets, was then working as Chief Associate. Since then, she got attracted to the small tricks behind camera, and even dreamed to become a film director.
She directed an album and penned lyrics too
Apart from acting, Parvathy Rajan Sankaradi has also tried hand in writing songs and direction. She wrote the song – Onam, Podipooram for her friend cum music director, Anoop, and also assisted him in directing the music video. She has acted in a few web series, short films and did a brief role in the TV serial, Anna Kareena directed by K. K. Rajeev.
Her upcoming projects
Tony Savoir directed by Don Jose is her upcoming release. She plays the challenging role of a police officer, Hima Shankar in the film. She has done some fight scenes for the movie, got injured too. Jillam Peppere was her first film where she was casted as female lead. But the film got shelved during Covid season. Later she appeared in brief roles in more than 10 films including critically acclaimed Anchakkallakokkan. However it was her appearance in “Prince and Family” which gave her visibility among audience.
She is married to Aravind. Though he is not connected to film industry, she gets full support from him to pursue her film journey. Apart from films, she is popular through reels and modelling.
